Night out with the gals.

Last night was a great night out with my secondary school friends; TT, LE, LY and MS. :) Because LE's going back to Aus for her studies and she predicts that she might not be coming back after 3 years! That is such a long time. T___T Therefore, before she leaves which is one week later, we hope to enjoy ourselves together for the last time before she goes away for 3 years. We did things we didn't do before...

Our initial plan was to enjoy ourselves at the UK Funfair located in Bishan. We went there and reached the place at around 6pm. The place wasn't ready yet as I think the opening hours are from 6pm to 10.30pm.

So we decided to eat dinner first then go back to the funfair. Since we did not try those reunion dinner (sort of thing) as a group, we ate at a nearby foodcourt with several dishes and rice. While eating, we were also "admiring" the threatening grey clouds hanging right above the fair. Bad weather. Bad, bad weather. :/ Indeed, it did drizzle at first but we still didn't care, going on ahead to the funfair after our cheap yet lovely dinner. ^___^

We tried a ride called the Sky Rider. I didn't expect myself to feel the 'heart jumping out' kind of feeling when I rode it. The thing turned so fast, up and down that though it was cooling against the wind, it was very dizzying. I couldn't walk straight when the ride was over; jelly legs. :x

Oh, one very unfortunate thing happened too. I forgot to bring extra cash out. ^---^" So it was quite fustrating to keep borrowing money from them especially when the rides were very expensive. Just the Sky Rider costed us $7.50 each!

Anyways, after the Sky Rider, it was still raining and getting heavier too. This meant that not much rides could be rode, so we went to try a game with shelter; Bumper Cars! Awesome childhood funfair game. :) Miss playing it in Genting. I haven't play it for years and I remembered quite clearly that bumper cars was one of my favourite game when I went to Genting. That's why I really enjoyed myself bumping my friends. :P

We headed back to J8 after seeing the weather turning for the worst. What a day to rain! >:[ We had a Shihlin snack treat from LE before deciding to head to Clarke Quay! We wanted to walk by the Singapore River and enjoy the 'romantic' ambience there, but the weather was going against us, so we had to walk in the rain towards Riverside Point.

Now here is the part which I think is the highlight of the night. Riverside Point was burstling with night activities and the area was really crowded with loads of working adults chilling in the many pubs we walked past. The feeling of being there was kind of mixed. I was excited yet felt kind of out of place because the place was more for adults to chill out.

Before going there, we had already decided to try out going to a pub. So while walking around and browsing through the pubs, we found one which was really unique and cool. I heard that it was introduced on TV before because it was really special. The pub was called 'Clinic.' Sure enough, they served drinks in syringes, blood bags and the setting in the external part of the pub was like a ward except that in place of beds, there were sofas instead. Oh and there was another very awesome part which was probably a place for people who wants to sign up for membership. The place was an autopsy room if that's what you call the place with an operating table and those 'steel cupboard' to store corpses.

Now that place caught our attention. So we decided to settle for Clinic! :) I think we were quite fortunate that time. As the place was full except seats by the bar which we didn't want to take since it would be kind of weird, a couple stood up and left right in front of us. And it was the comfy sofa seats where the place looked like a hospital ward. The waiter told us that it wasn't reserved, so we took the place! Awesome, ain't it?! :D

Okay, NOW for the drinks which were all alcoholic. Hehe.. The waitress came and introduced some drinks to us and she said that instead of buying the syringe drinks, we could buy cocktails of different flavours so we could share them. The syringes drink had cocktails, vodka and more of only one flavour if we ordered that, so we went ahead with the waitress recommendation and ordered 4 cocktails. LY and MS didn't want to drink so much so we ordered one cup less. (But they still drank as much as the rest of us did :P) The cocktails had such cute names though; there was Singapore Sling, Zombie, Watermelon Sling and... I forgot the last one.

For the taste, at first some of them tasted like medicine and we were wondering whether it was due to the fact that the place was called Clinic. Lol. But after drinking more, the taste got better and with a mixed of fruits ino the drinks, the taste was actually quite good. All of us drank everything up even MS and LY in spite of their complains in the beginning.

Anyway, here are pictures I took of the drinks with my hp.

This is my favourite pic because the angle and the effects came out really nice. :P

The place was quite dim and here's a pic without my hp flash but some lighting from TT's camera's flash.

And one clear pic of the Singapore River with a background of the active night life by the river.

I'll post more pics when LE send them to me! :)
