Last night's dinner was an enjoyment of exquisite bliss. Mum brought us to Tao's restaurant located at Paradiz Center as a celebration for Janz's 16th Birthday. Dining at the restaurant made me feel euphorically blessed. The ambience, the staff and the food; it's difficult not to feel like you're in heaven. Honest.
I took a few photos to share the wonderment of food provided by Tao's. :)
You know how a lot of [western] restaurants serve ice water before all the food arrive? Well, this restaurant serves these two:
Mango juice and Green Tea with fruits. Green Tea with fruits is aromatically addicting. I drank countless cups of those. Unfortunately, the mango juice is not refillable.
Then came the appetizers:
Ham salad; my favourite out of the three!
Potato Salad.
Fruit Salad. Sweet and refreshing.
The soups:
Top: Pumpkin Soup. [Never knew pumpkin can taste this good.]
Left: Mushroom Soup [Mushrooms are grinded into tiny pieces! Delicious.]
Right: Shark-fin melon herbal soup.
Main Courses:
Roasted Steak
Without saying, you should know this was my meal. LOL.
It's good but because it was medium-done, as suggested by the waiter who said that well-done would be tough [I usually eat well-done steaks], I gave half of it to my mum who gave me one of her pork ribs.
Grilled Fish.
My sister's. I love the looong plate. I have no complains about this fish as well. The meat is tender and not too dry. You know how some fish meat can get dry as you chew it, well this doesn't and the sauce to go with it was awesome.
Pork Ribs.
This was my favourite out of all! I had this one bad experience of eating pork ribs in Jack's Place; the meat was half burnt and tough to chew on. This was just nice and you see the sauce provided? It has a tinge of minty taste. Mum and Janz didn't like it, but I love it!
The drinks:
Iced Peach Tea.
Iced Apple Tea.Janz ordered this. I don't like the rosy smell of it. Too strong!
Desserts:
Janz's
Creme Brulee.
There's this thin layer of suger icing on top which made the whole dessert more tasty and enjoyable! >.<
My chocolate mousse.
Love it!
My mum's dessert was Black Sesame pudding. [I uploaded the pic but accidentally deleted it. Lazy to upload it again.]
As you can see, this restaurant has a tinge of chinese culture although the food are western-originated. Very unique. The presentation of the food is great too, isn't it? Also, there's a steamboat restaurant right beside Tao's. It's also owned by owner of Tao's and equally unique!
The price of a dinner set is $28.80. Excluding GST and service charge. x_x
Haha, it seems lately I've been feeding on[sounds carnivorous] good food. And to do a bit of comparison, Tao's is the best. [Duhh.. it's also the most ex] X)
