I'm taking a break from the continuous brain-straining I've done for the past few hours over the stupid piece of journal
I'm working on for the coming presentation. With just
MY brain power alone, interpreting someone else's journal is damn strainous and could take up quite some time.
That's why we are grouped! So that two heads will think better than one. But whaddyaknow. I'm the only one doing the powerpoint slides for the presentation! And doing the ppt slides requires one to analyse the journal so as to pick out the main points for the slides. You can't just copy and paste the whole chunk of the "discussion" section, put each sentence in point form claiming that everything is important and say that it's ready for presentation! Just so you know, that's exactly what my partner did.
I did my part, that is to prepare the slides for Introduction, Methods and Results. Yes, I did copy and paste a few chunks of paragraphs but before sending the slides to my partner, I bothered to edit them so that they won't appear so
wordy! But my partner just blindly copy and paste, claiming that every point is very important. -_-" Might as well show the entire journal to the class.
So now, I'm doing the slides for the discussion and conclusion part. If you do the math, it turns out I did almost everything!
It can be good when he lets me decide everything but NOT when he lets me
do everything.
I'm very very stressed out over this stupid journal thing. I've got to analyse the journal myself! It's really really difficult what with all the statistics and the BIG scientific terms I've never come across. It's difficult to ask him over the phone or through sms. It's even more difficult to ask him through MSN since he is rarely online and even if he is, he appears offline! How the heck am I suppose to know you're online?!
Presentation is in two days time, yet I'm still lost in some parts of the journal.
I'm really fed up.
