Are we having the 3-weeks term break now? How is it that every single day I still have to crawl out of bed reluctantly in the early hours, get dressed and rush to SP? How is it that out of the whole month of June, I've got only one day off? And that includes the weekends, because in the weekends though I officially work on Sunday, I have to work two days of my weekend every now and then. So there, even my weekends are unavailable.
My definition of off-days is not having to sleep with my alarm set. It's when I get up all on my own be it at 10am or 12pm. Somehow, I haven't seen much of those days in a while.
Just three words that will explain my pathetic plight- Final Year Project. Everyday, we come to school during this break just for the project. It's like we have dedicated our life on the project and yes, it's just for this year but no-breaks is a big NO NO for me. It's FYP, FYP, FYP every single day. No breaks, no rest, no holidays.
I thought of giving up work because then, I'll have at least one day off. But the money! I need money, money, money. Don, don, don! [don= money in Korean] I need mon-nay! This makes me realise that it is difficult to give up working because of the extra income. Germaine once told me that if we work after graduating and then decide to become a full time student -perhaps for a degree- again, it will be difficult to stop working as the flow of income will also be ceased. Now I absolutely understand and well, I am partly in this kind of situation right now.
That aside, I recently started watching Sex and the City series. Am I of legal age? I think so.. heehee. I kinda like the series because the show portrays these 4 women who faces problems which can actually happen in real life. Like how Carrie farted while she was lying in bed with Mr. Big [it stank big time] and that caused her to be so embarrassed she considers that as a total humiliation in front of her perfect lover man. She didn't call him all day because she was so embarrassed! She kept harping on that little fact to her friends the whole day. Miranda assured her it was human nature while Samantha gaped at her and told her that she should never have done that. I find that ridiculously funny but somehow I thought that if it happened to me, I will definitely be embarrassed.
Another good thing is that the sex scenes aren't as bold and random as the ones shown on movie. :)
Besides SATC, I've also started watching Gossip Girls recommended by the toad. But I've only watched 1/4 of the first episode therefore, no comments thus far. I think I've been influenced by toad in watching these english serials...
Oh and before I end this post, I just want to say Korean lessons are getting so much more interesting as the weeks go by! My seon saeng nim even praised me for good pronounciation, haha~~ We are also having a short roleplay in two weeks time and that is considered as our oral test! I really like my team members whom I've made friends with. I'm so glad to be in the same team as them. :)
