So the three-weeks term break that had just past has got to be my worst school holiday ever in my entire life thus far. Only two out of the 21 days permit me of free time, of no FYP, no work, no whatever shit to attend to. However one of the two measely free days given to me was occupied by Korean Lessons in the evening. Thus, I strictly count total of free days in the 3 weeks break to be 1 and a half days. Nice, right? -.-"
And today was the first day of the Mid-Semester Tests Week. It's a first for Chemical Life Sciences students to have MST week in our curriculum as in the past two years, we had never have MST week. It feels like we're having the end of year major exams when the papers we're taking only have a weightage of 10% or even 7.5% out of our total final score. If you didn't know, usually exam papers covers 60% to 70% of our total score.
The feeling sucks when one realises that it's only a stupid 10% paper but it has to be taken as seriously as a 60% paper. Not that I don't take 10% papers seriously, it's just that the kind of emotions during those kind of tests and exams period are different. However, I shall not complain any further now that I recall D0PT students ain't going to have any exam papers this year! Woohoo.
Speaking of this year, it's our third and final year in SP and that reminds me of the dreaded letter I received few days ago. A letter that so conspiciously
bolded and
underlined the word,
compulsory, in its contents. What exactly is in the letter that is compulsory for all third year students, you may ask? It's one of the things I rejoiced over for not going to JC. It's the one thing I dread when coming to third year. It's the
National Physical Fitness Award test, more commonly known as NAPFA test.
One thing I can safely say I hate is exercising and doing sports. Yes, a very unhealthy lifestyle. But I really hate sports! It's bleaaah to me.
Now we're going to be forced to do it. And when it comes to NAPFA, the only thing that is in my mind is Sit-up, one of the test items. I know, I know, I know. People have been telling me Sit-ups are one of the easiest out of all. Not to me, uh-uh, nadaa. Other test items are okay, I can pass them with a breeze [i think] but definitely not sit-ups.
How bad am I? I have problems doing even 10 of them. Now you guys know that in actual fact, I'm not skinny at all. All the accumulated fats in my tummy prevents me from smooth sit-up exercises. Besides the clique of friends, other people have been saying how skinny I am, that I have to eat moooore.
I've been gorging myself with junk unknowingly and just last night, I had a shock of my life when I was put on the weighing scale. Maaaan. I hope for one thing good out of the stupid NAPFA- me losing some weight.
