So now that we're in our final year of poly, it's time to consider the path to take after graduating. There actually has been much hype over this issue in class. To continue and take up degree course, to stay put [which is probably a decision not very wise seeing how society talks about nothing but papers] or to change a new course of route.
I've been considering for a long time...
Sad to say, I would feel burdened if I continue a degree course in optom. Wasting time and money on something that doesn't interest me will be a mistake committed once and only once. You know how people ask us on what interest us the most when it comes to choosing courses, and that especially reminded me of the time when O levels' results were released which was also the time we made crucial decisions on which route to take.
During that time, I had no particular interest in any courses. Really, nothing at all. I could've gone to JC but I didn't want to. Afraid? No confidence in doing well? Whatever it was, JC wasn't in my book of options.
Optom was a course that sort of sparked that little interest in me because of the limited intake and low cut-off points. Besides, at that time it was a course that only SP offered [apparently not so when the new academic year starts in 09'] so in a sense, it being all so specialised and "sort after", I chose the course. Landed myself in hot, bubbling soup. XD
Soooooo...
Asian Studies, majoring in Korean studies, is something I am considering to pursue when I am able to get into U. But I am still 50-50 on this one due to several reasons; one, for this course I have to study overseas, two, I'm still not sure what else I can work as with this cert besides knowing that I can work in Korean companies in SG, be a translator/interpreter, working in Korea [WOAH!]. I've also read up on some people with this degree working in Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
I am super keeeeeen in taking up this course. This was a decision made 5 months ago, seems like the interest won't be slipping away if you're thinking that I am basing this life-changing decision on my love of Kpop idols! I'm making it as clear as possible- I am definitely not putting my future on the line like that. I love Korea and its culture. So I am really
really thinking this through...
Okay, studies and future aside, I want to announce that I LOVE TOHOSHINKI'S 23RD SINGLE!! It's sooooo friggin' good.. BOTH songs on the single are damn nice. I LOVE IT SO FRIGGIN' MUCH! SO SO MUCH!! I don't regret buying it from Japan with its shipping charges being more expensive than the single itself! And I must say, I received the single only two days after its official release in Japan. So much more efficient as compared to Yesasia which takes at least 1 week for shipping duration. :D
