The truth lies ahead with the click of the mouse: www.yesasia.comOnce in awhile, in this peak period of all the DongBangShinKi stir, I have to give a proper update about what's going on with my life. But I guess it's all pretty obvious, huh? ^^ Yes, well, I'm obviously obsessing over the fact that dongbangshinki is making their long awaited comeback in just a few days.
The title track from their upcoming album was officially released online yesterday. The song is indescribably fantastic. I love it and I'd developed an instant addiction to it which I'm hoping will lie low for the moment because I don't want to really spoil the whole 4th-album-release feeling. When I get addicted, I want it to be ALL the tracks from the album. ^^ Oh and one of the grandest thing is that I don't need no romanized lyrics to sing along! For those who don't know what romanized lyrics are, romanized [or some people might call it Konglish] lyrics are when a foreign language lyrics are changed into english words.
For example: The Korean phrase, 사랑해요, is romanized as "Saranghaeyo".
So romanized lyrics are good for foreigners to sing along to songs in Korean/Japanese or whatever other language.
But sometimes Korean words when romanized, the words when said are pronounced rather differently. Like "eobseo" is a romanized word in Korean that means "don't have". Do you know that it's pronounced literally as "awb-saw" instead of "ee-ob-see-oh". People see "seo" and they pronounce it as "see-oh" but the actual Korean word is pronounced as "saw".
:) Oh! So teaching Korean is quite fun... Hahas. That's just extra info for all you peeps with nuts about the language.
Soooo I was saying that I don't need no romanized lyrics because I can read Korean and that makes singing along a gazillion times easier. Due to my laziness to read Korean [because I'm still slow at that] I've tried singing along with romanized lyrics but my mind got all screwed because the romanized lyrics says this so I sang this way but my pronounciation turned out wrong as I listened to the song. I was like "dang! might as well read Korean lyrics.."
I did and singing along was
really much easier, pronounciation was much accurate as well. So grand! :D
Oh and about my KLC [Korean Language Class, take note of that since I'm gonna start using KLC from now on], I have got a really interesting homework from my seon-saeng-nim. She has asked us to do some research on Jeju Island, not about its history or landscape etc, but info regarding tourism. About hotels in Jeju Island, food to eat and pricing etc. Maybe she's gonna bring us there?! Maybe we'll be having a class tour in Jeju Island?! Hey, it can happen. But it's no doubt this homework is making me crave for a vacation in Korea.
Hm. What else to update? You probably won't be seeing another normal post like this for the whole entire week! It'll all be spazzing entries! Okay, maybe I'm exagerrating a bit..
Right. Shopaholic! I recently borrowed
Shopaholic & Baby from NLB to try it out since a lot of people gave good reviews on the series. And boy, it's really GOOD and hilarious if I may add. There were several scenes in the book that made me literally laugh out loud. I wish I can afford to be a Shopaholic like the Heroine in the series. All the branded goods just spills! Even her baby gets all the Dior stuff! I wish I were her baby. So I completed the book in a day and that's really rare for me to do if it's not a Harry Potter book. I'm gonna grab more of the books from the series! It's totally recommended for all who haven't read it yet!
Let's end this with:
Only 4 more days!!
