We went to Kimchi School to learn how to make Kimchi! But seriously I didn’t take in even half of what the teacher was saying. He was speaking so fast, moreover in Chinese… my concentration just withered half-way through. Hehe.
Making the kimchi was fun though! Slapping the chilli sauce onto each sides of each leaves of the cabbage. Then wrapping it up into a bundle so as to preserve the taste of chilli sauce inside the cabbage.
After making the kimchi, we were given these to try…
Squid on the top, kimchi and obviously yellow radish. The kimchi and yellow radish was deeeeeeeeeeelicious!!! Real good man. It’s the best kimchi I’ve ever eaten. Better than my favourite brand of Kimchi bought in SG. Most of the kimchi I ate, somehow I always have to eat it with rice immediately after putting the kimchi in my mouth. But this kimchi… I could eat it like a snack. And just blogging about it makes my mouth water. :x I bought 5 packets of kimchi (1.1kg each) and 1 packet of yellow radish given to me for free. Buy 5 packets get 1 free. :)
Actually it was my mum who requested for 5 packets. I was more than happy to buy since it’s so nice.
Before I went to Korea, my aunt told me not to buy Kimchi. She said that her friend bought back Korea’s kimchi and it doesn’t taste as good as the one she made. But when she ate the one I bought, she says it’s nice. HEH!
Wooohoo for yellow radish! So good so good!
After all that tasting and such, we went ahead to try on Korea’s traditional costume, the Hanbok!
Trying on the hanbok was fun but I don’t know why the ladies who helped us to wear it were in such a hurry. We couldn’t wear it for long as well because of the time constraints, I guess. That’s why I hate going with tour. But if it was free and easy, we may not have the chance to even try the hanbok.
